The route

The car leaves the airport and heads south-east through flat farmland towards Ortaca, then turns off towards the coast and crosses the low hills down to Sarıgerme. The roads are quiet, with no tunnels or mountain passes.

Sarıgerme is mostly big hotels set behind the beach, with a small village inland. There is little else nearby, so the hotel is where you will spend most of your time; Dalyan and Ortaca are a short drive away for shops and restaurants.
