Hisarönü and Ovacık are about 60 km and 55 minutes from Dalaman Airport. These busy resort villages on the hill above Ölüdeniz have most of the area's apartments, bars and restaurants, and are a firm favourite with UK holidaymakers.

The route

The route follows the Fethiye transfer through the Göcek tunnel, skirts Fethiye town and climbs the hill road to Ovacık first, then Hisarönü a little further up. Ölüdeniz itself is another 5 km down the winding road to the sea.

Where the hotels are

Ovacık spreads along the main road with quieter hotels and villas; Hisarönü is the livelier centre, with a pedestrian strip of bars, restaurants and shops. Many places are apartments without reception, so give the driver the property name, a map pin and a phone number.
