Taxi, private transfer or shuttle?
Taxi: metered taxis wait outside arrivals. For Göcek, Dalyan and Sarıgerme they cost about the same as a booked car; for Fethiye and beyond the meter is usually more expensive.
Pre-booked private transfer: fixed price, driver waiting with a name board, child seats on request. The best value for Ölüdeniz, Hisarönü, Kalkan and Kaş, and almost essential for villas up steep lanes.
Shuttle and bus: shared shuttles stop at several hotels. The Havaş airport bus runs to Fethiye bus station in season, timed to arrivals; from there dolmuş minibuses continue to the resorts.
Where is Dalaman Airport?
Dalaman Airport (IATA: DLM) lies in the Dalaman plain about 6 km from the town of Dalaman, on the D400 coast road. It has a large international terminal used mainly in the summer season by charter and scheduled flights from the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and Poland, and a domestic terminal with year-round flights from Istanbul. About 50 km, around 45 minutes by car along the D400 through the Göcek tunnel. Ölüdeniz and Hisarönü are about 15 minutes further.

Dalaman. Kalkan is about 1 hour 45 minutes from Dalaman against 3.5 hours from Antalya; Kaş about 2 hours 15 minutes against 3 hours 15 minutes.
Is there a bus from Dalaman Airport to Fethiye?
Yes, the Havaş airport shuttle runs to Fethiye bus station, timed to flight arrivals, mainly in the summer season. From Fethiye you continue by dolmuş or taxi to Ölüdeniz or Çalış.
Do taxis at Dalaman Airport use the meter?
Taxis wait outside arrivals and are metered, but fares in Muğla are higher than in Antalya, and long rides to Kalkan or Kaş add up quickly. For these, a pre-booked private transfer is usually cheaper.
