The route

From the airport the car joins the D400 heading east past Göcek, then goes through the long Göcek tunnel, which cut the old mountain road out of the journey. After the tunnel the road drops into the Fethiye plain; Çalış is signposted to the left before the town centre.

Where the hotels are

Fethiye town hotels are around the harbour and the old quarter of Paspatur. Çalış is a separate beach area 5 km north of the centre with apartments and mid-size hotels. Ölüdeniz and Hisarönü have their own pages.

Tips for this transfer

Taxis to Fethiye cost noticeably more on the meter than a booked car. The Havaş airport bus to Fethiye bus station is the cheapest option in season; from there it is a short taxi or dolmuş to your hotel.
