Which course should you play?

For a tournament-standard test: Montgomerie Maxx Royal, Carya and PGA Sultan. All three have hosted European Tour events; PGA Sultan is the hardest, Carya the most beautiful.

For value and atmosphere: National Golf Club, with no hotel attached and mature trees, and Sueno's two courses, which offer the cheapest 36 holes in Belek from one base.

For something different: Lykia Links, 35 km east, is the only genuine seaside links in Türkiye. Expect wind and bring extra balls.

For a golf week: stay at a resort with its own course (Gloria, Cornelia, Sueno, Kaya Palazzo, Regnum Carya, Maxx Royal, Titanic) and book outside rounds at the others. Most clubs are within 10–15 minutes of each other, and hotels run shuttles.

How a golf holiday in Belek works

Belek is built around all-inclusive resorts, and golf packages follow the same logic: room, meals and a fixed number of rounds (often unlimited on the home course) in one price. Tour operators from the UK, Germany and Scandinavia block tee times months ahead for March–May and October–November, so independent golfers should book tee times 4–8 weeks out for those months. In summer you can usually walk on.

Buggies are optional on most courses and cost €35–€50; many visitors walk in spring and autumn. Caddies are not customary. Dress code is standard: collared shirt, tailored shorts, soft spikes.

Getting there and around

Antalya Airport (AYT) is 30–40 minutes from Belek. Pre-booked private transfers cost about the same as a taxi and take golf bags without fuss; see our airport transfer guide. Within Belek, hotel shuttles and taxis cover the short hops between courses; a hire car only makes sense if you also plan day trips.

For month-by-month temperatures see our Antalya weather guide.

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to play golf in Belek?

March to May and October to November: 20–27°C, firm fairways, little rain. This is also when green fees and hotel rates peak. June to September is hot (33–35°C) but courses are empty and fees drop by up to half; book tee times before 8 am or after 3 pm. December to February is playable most days at 15–17°C with occasional heavy rain.

How much is a green fee in Belek?

Expect €90–€220 for 18 holes as a visitor in high season, depending on the course, and roughly €60–€130 in summer. Hotel guests on golf packages typically pay 30–50% less, and most resorts include unlimited golf on their own course in some rate plans.

Do I need a handicap certificate?

Most Belek clubs ask for a handicap of 28 or better for men and 36 for women on championship courses, though enforcement is relaxed outside peak weeks. Bring your certificate or app; soft spikes are required everywhere.

Can I rent clubs in Belek?

Yes, every course rents current sets (Callaway, TaylorMade, Titleist) for about €40–€60 per round. Reserve with your tee time in high season.

Which Belek golf courses are floodlit?

Carya is fully floodlit for 18 holes; the Montgomerie Maxx Royal and Kaya Palazzo light parts of their courses. Night golf runs from spring to autumn and is a pleasant way around the summer heat.

How far are the golf courses from Antalya Airport?

Most Belek courses are 30–40 minutes from the airport; see our airport transfer page for times and prices. Lykia Links at Denizyaka is about 70 minutes.
