1. Controller

This policy applies to visitors from the EU/EEA and the UK under the GDPR / UK GDPR, and to visitors from Türkiye under the KVKK (Law No. 6698).

2. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on a server of Contabo GmbH in Germany. When you open a page, the web server automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the site and to detect attacks. The logs are deleted automatically after a short period (normally within 30 days). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working website).

3. Outbound clicks

When you click an affiliate or sponsor link, we record the time, the page you were on, the site language and your country as reported by the connection. We do not store your IP address or any identifier with this record. We use it to understand which pages help readers and to reconcile commissions. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Cookies

Necessary: rs_consent stores your cookie choice for 12 months so we do not ask again on every page. Legal basis: § 25(2) TDDDG / Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Advertising (only with your consent): see section 5. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page.

5. Google AdSense

We show advertisements through Google AdSense, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use Google Consent Mode: until you agree, Google is told that advertising storage is denied and ads are served without personalisation cookies. If you accept advertising cookies, Google and its partners may store and read cookies on your device to show ads based on your interests and to measure them. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG; you can withdraw it at any time via “Cookie settings”. More: How Google uses data in advertising.

6. Weather forecast

The forecast on our weather page is retrieved by our server from the Google Weather API for fixed locations (Antalya, Belek, Side, Kemer, Alanya) and cached. Your browser does not contact Google for this, and no data about you is sent.

7. Booking partners

If you follow a link to a booking partner (transfers, tours, hotels), that partner’s own privacy policy applies from the moment you reach their site. The partner may use a cookie to attribute your booking to us.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Write to hello@rivierascout.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in your country of residence.

9. No accounts, no newsletters

RivieraScout has no user accounts, contact forms or newsletters. We do not sell personal data.
