The route
The car follows the D400 coast road west from the airport, past banana plantations around Gazipaşa, then through Mahmutlar, Kestel and Alanya town. Beyond Alanya it continues along the coast for another 12 km or so to Konaklı. Crossing Alanya can be slow in summer evenings.
Where the hotels are
Konaklı's hotels sit mostly between the D400 and the sea, with some larger resorts spread along the coast on either side. Apartments are further up the slope. Tell the driver whether you are on the beach side or above the main road.
