The route
The car takes the D400 west from the airport, through the banana-growing coast around Gazipaşa, then Mahmutlar, Kestel and Alanya town, and on past Konaklı. Avsallar and İncekum come next, about 25 km beyond Alanya. Getting through Alanya is the slowest part of the trip.
Where the hotels are
İncekum is the pine-backed beach area with the bigger resorts; Avsallar village and its apartments sit a little east, partly on the slope above the D400. Tell the driver which side of the main road you are on, as U-turns on the D400 can add a few minutes.
