Antalya Airport to Kemer: how long, how much

Kemer is only 55 km from Antalya Airport on the map, but it is on the other side of the city. The car has to cross or skirt Antalya first and then follow the mountain coast road, so plan on about an hour, more at rush hour.

The route

From the airport the driver takes the ring road around the north of Antalya, then heads west past Konyaaltı beach onto the D400 coastal road. From here the road squeezes between the Taurus mountains and the sea, through Beldibi and Göynük, with several tunnels before Kemer.

Where the hotels are

The Kemer area runs for 40 km. Beldibi and Göynük come first (45 to 55 minutes), then Kemer town, then Kiriş, Çamyuva and Tekirova further south, which can take 80 minutes. Check which village your hotel is in; it makes a 30-minute difference.

Tips for this transfer

Weekday traffic through Antalya between 17:00 and 19:00 can add 20 to 30 minutes, so the price advantage of a fixed-price private transfer is greatest here. If you are prone to car sickness, sit in the front: the stretch after Beldibi has many bends.

Why is the Kemer transfer slower than Belek?

The airport is east of Antalya and Kemer is west, so the car has to get around the city before reaching the coast road. Belek is east of the airport on a straight dual carriageway.

Is there public transport from the airport to Kemer?

Yes, but it is slow: a bus to the city, then a Kemer dolmuş from the western bus stop or otogar. Expect two hours or more with luggage.
