Antalya Airport to Lara: how long, how much

Lara is the shortest transfer from Antalya Airport: about 15 km and 20 minutes. At this distance a metered taxi from the rank costs roughly the same as a pre-booked car, so the choice comes down to convenience rather than price.

The route

The car leaves the airport southwards towards the sea and joins the coastal avenue that runs along Lara beach. There are no motorways or mountain roads; the only delays are traffic lights and, in summer evenings, cars heading to the beach clubs.

Where the hotels are

Lara proper is the residential and hotel district along the cliffs east of the city centre, near the Lower Düden waterfall. The big all-inclusive hotels further east are usually listed as Lara-Kundu; those are covered on our Kundu page.

Tips for this transfer

For Lara a taxi from the rank outside arrivals is perfectly fine; make sure the meter is running. If you arrive between midnight and 06:00, the night tariff applies and a fixed-price booked transfer can be a few euros cheaper.
