The route

The car follows the D400 east the whole way: past Belek, Side and Manavgat, then along the coast through Avsallar, İncekum and Konaklı into Alanya. The road is good but passes through many small towns with traffic lights after Manavgat, which is why the last 50 km are slower.

Where the hotels are

Alanya city and Cleopatra beach are about two hours away. Konaklı and Avsallar to the west are 15 to 25 minutes closer; Oba, Kestel and Mahmutlar to the east add up to 20 minutes. Many apartments in Mahmutlar have no hotel reception, so give the driver a phone number and map pin.

Tips for this transfer

Gazipaşa-Alanya airport (GZP) is only about 40 km east of Alanya, but it has far fewer flights than Antalya, mostly seasonal. If your airline flies there, it can save more than an hour each way. From Antalya, a shared shuttle to Alanya can take three hours or more because of hotel stops along the way.
